                                   NEPAL TOUR FROM CHENNAI INDIA WITH IRCTC

In this post, I am telling all of you about the tour program of Nepal, a country situated in the lap of Himalayas. This tour program is starting from Chennai (India) on 25th September, 2023. Any citizen of any country of the world can go on this tour, he just has to come from his country to Chennai India.

Now you must be thinking that when someone comes to India from any other country, he can go directly to Nepal and visit it, so for your information let me tell you that this tour is being organized by the famous Indian tourism company irctc. There will be no problem.

So let's know what is this tour program and how can we travel to Nepal through it.                               


 CLASSIC NEPAL EX CHENNAI

Nepal is popularly symbolized across the globe, by the highest mountain in the world; Mount Everest. This small South Asian country is home to the world’s highest snowy mountains and an array of ethnic groups with vibrant cultures, religions, ancient history and languages.

 

The north is covered by enormous, snow-capped mountains with a cold alpine climate, the middle region is scattered with hills and has a mild climate, and the southern region is made up of the flat Terai with a very warm, humid and tropical climate. Nearly one-third of the total length of the Himalayas and eight of the world’s highest peaks are situated in Nepal.


The birth place of The Lord Buddha, holy Hindu sites, beautiful temples, stupas, mosques and churches, a number UNESCO heritage sites and the most mesmerizing scenery you could ever feast your eyes on, all bring people flocking to the warm and welcoming republic of Nepal.

Chennai – Kathmandu

Departure from Chennai by flight no. 6E-2116/1153 at 05.50 Hrs. Arrival at Kathmandu airport at 13.05 Hrs. Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, is the largest region of the country.

 The city showcases a perfect amalgamation of its architectural grandeur along with the lively casinos. The Kathmandu valley is home to several UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Day 02

After breakfast, explore the architectural grandeur of the Pashupatinath Temple, which is one of the most revered shrines for Hindus. The temple, situated on the banks of Bagmati River, is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is a two-tiered pagoda having golden roofs and silver doors. Later, head to visit the Bouddhanath Stupa, one of the holy shrines depicting Buddhist culture in Nepal. This stupa is 39m high and attracts Buddhist pilgrims from all over the world. After seeking blessings at these religious sites, proceed towards Patan, a small town located in the Kathmandu valley. This town is also called Lalitpur and is known for various architectural marvels dotted across its landscape. Begin by exploring the Durbar Square, which is a masterpiece that encompasses palaces, courtyards and temples built during the Malla period. It is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Next, head to the Tibetan Refugee Centre, a place where most of the Tibetan refugees of the valley dwell. Carpet factories here are the main source of income of these people. You can buy one of the finest varieties of carpets here.

 

End your day's visit at the Swayambhunath Stupa, which is a prominent structure of Nepal and a religious shrine for Buddhists. It is situated on the top of a hill and is known to provide a breathtaking view of the Kathmandu valley. This 5th century golden spire is adorned with colourful prayer flags. After a spiritual experience, retreat to the hotel and sleep the night away.

Pokhara

Soon after breakfast, drive to Pokhara, which is a popular destination among adventure seekers. With the Annapurna range in the backdrop, the town forms the base for various trekking expeditions. En route Pokhara from Kathmandu, visit the Manakamana Temple. This shrine is dedicated to Goddess Durga and is believed to fulfil wishes of all its devotees. You can reach this temple by a cable car ride, which takes around 10 minutes. After a thrilling experience, check-in at the hotel in Pokhara and relax overnight.

Day 04

  Pokhara

Early morning excursion to Surangkot to view Himalayas at sunrise. After relishing your breakfast, proceed towards Bindhyabasini Mandir. This is one of the oldest shrines in Pokhara and was a part of the Kaski Kingdom. Goddess Durga, which is the main deity here, is worshipped in this temple. It is located in the Old Bazaar area that is the economic lifeline of the town. Next, visit the Devi's fall, which is also known as Patale Chhango. This mesmerising cascade is located on the Siddhartha Highway. Just opposite to Devi's fall is the Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave, which is popular for the different natural forms of Lord Shiva, Goddess Parbati, naag, Lord Ganesha and mouse. Photography is strictly prohibited inside the cave. Retreat to the hotel and get some sound sleep.

Day 05

  Kathmandu

After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu. Check-in at the hotel and rest for a while. As the day is free for leisure activities, you can visit the local markets here and buy some souvenirs. Also, you can try your luck at the numerous casinos, which are dotted across the city. After a fun-filled day, get back to the hotel and sleep well.

Kathmandu - Chennai

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel. Drive straight to the airport and board flight to Chennai (Meals:- Breakfast)

  • Transfers and Sightseeing tours as per the itinerary in AC Coach on SIC (seat in coach)/ Shared basis by A/c vehicle.
  • Arrival / departure transfers & sightseeing tours shall be provided as per schedule.
  • However this may require you to wait at the airport for short duration until all the guests arriving at that time exit the airport.
  • The request for an adjacent or an adjoining room will be on subject to availability.
  • It is mandatory to carry the age proof of children (02 to 11 yrs) and infant (below 02yrs) as well along with other travel documents. Child above   than 11 yrs shall be considered for an adult cost.

COVID-19 GUIDELINES

Generic preventive measures:

The generic measures include simple public health measures that are to be followed to reduce the risk of COVID-19. These measures need to be observed by all supporting staff and tourists during tour package services at all times.

·         Physical distancing of at least 6 feet to be followed as far as feasible.

·         Use of face covers/masks to be made mandatory.

·         Practice frequent hand washing with soap (for at least 40-60 seconds) even when hands are not visibly dirty.

          Use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers (for at least 20 seconds) can be made wherever feasible like train/transport/stay etc.

·         Respiratory etiquettes to be strictly followed. This involves strict practice of covering one’s mouth and nose while coughing/sneezing with a

          Tissue/handkerchief/flexed elbow and disposing off used tissues properly.

·         Self-Monitoring of health by all and reporting any illness at the earliest to Tour manager and IRCTC helpline.

·         Spitting shall be strictly prohibited.

    Do’s:

·         Wearing of face mask and hand gloves.

·         Practice of frequent hand washing with soap (for at least 40-60 seconds) even when hands are not visibly dirty. Use of alcohol-based sanitizers 

         (for at least 20 seconds) can be made wherever feasible.

·         Luggage should be disinfected at reception/ boarding point.

·         Following of social distancing during boarding/de-boarding of train/ any other transport, Monuments & pilgrim places visit, lunches/dinners

         etc.

Don'ts

·         Avoid touching their eyes, nose and mouth with their hands.

·         Abide to the mandatory health advisories issued by the States/Local administration which are being visited.

·         Avoid using other tourist’s phone, Water bottle, Umbrella etc as much as possible.

·         Avoid loitering and crowding in train corridors, gates, cabins, buses, hotels/Dharmashala etc.

·         All tourists are advised that spitting is strictly prohibited in tourist places, buses, hotels etc.

·         Do not touch statues/idols/holy books etc, inside the religious place.

·         Avoid physical contact while greeting each other.
